Model TSP-2 Total Suspended Particulate Air Sampling System, 220-230 VAC
These complete air sampling systems, available with various modular accessories, are designed to meet the EPA requirements for sampling airborne particulates at a known flow rate for a determined amount of time, allowing for proper calculation of airborne particulate concentrations.

MT-1 and MT-2 Mechanical 7 Day Timer Turns Air Sampler " ON" and " OFF" at set times ± 15 minutes, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ; Model MLT-2 for 230 VAC, 50 Hz

Constant Flow Controllers FC-2
Automatically maintains a constant mass flow through an High Volume Air Sampler regardless of filter loading, atmospheric conditions and line voltage. [ requires SH810 filter holder assembly]
Models FC-1ETM and FC-2ETM include built-in non-resettable Elapsed Time Indicator.

Flow Recorder - ModeL FR-2 - Provides a permanent record of High Volume Air Sampler performance during a 24-hour period.
Calibration Kit - Models CKHV810 - U.S. EPA prescribed method for accurate calibration of High Volume Air Samplers. U.S. EPA recommends that High Volume Air Samplers be re-calibrated at least once per year ( or when major components such as the motor or flowmeter are changed) . Model CKHV810 can be used with 4" or 8" x 10" filter holder assemblies.
PM10 Size Selective Inlets - for U.S. EPA PM10 environmental air sampling. Staplex® PM10 Size Selective Inlet is available separately as Part No. PM10-SSI for conversion of existing TSP ( Total Suspend Particulate) High Volume Air Sampling Systems to PM10 System.

The Staplex® PM10-SSI Size Selective inlet, used with Staplex® High Volume Air Sampler, 8" x 10' Filter Holder Assembly and Aluminum Outdoor Shelter and other available accessories, samples suspended particulates in the air at 40 ACFM ( 1.13 ACMM) through a circumferential inlet.
The symmetrical design insures wind-direction insensitivity. The Inlet design and internal configuration makes the collection efficiency independent of wind speed form 0 to 36 kilometers per hour. The air is accelerated though nine circular internal acceleration nozzles. By virtue of their larger momentum, particles greater than 10 micron aerodynamic diameter impact onto a greased impaction shim.
The PM10 particles of interest, that is those particles smaller than or equal to 10 microns, are carried vertically upward by the air flow and sown sixteen vent tubes to the 8” x 10” Quartz Fiber Filter ( Staplex® Type TFAQ810) , where they are collected for gravimetric airborne concentration analysis. The weight increase of the filter paper is considered the mass of PM10 particles collected. The mass concentration of PM10 particles is determined by dividing the particulate mass by the volume of air sampled.
Particles larger than 10 microns settle out of the impaction chamber on a collection shim and are removed when the collection shim is cleaned during prescribed maintenance periods.
